SAP Business All-in-One – the ERP system aimed at mid-size manufacturers – has been released with SAP CRM 2007 (customer relationship management), as promised at May’s Sapphire event in Berlin.
Hans-Peter Klaey, president of SAP’s SME interests, says it will considerably enhance SAP’s mid size customers’ ability to manage end-to-end business processes with preconfigured best practices.
“As midsize companies look to enhance their competitiveness in a global business environment, they have come to realise that consistent and strong customer relations are key,” he says. “This has resulted in a growing need for generic and industry-specific CRM to become an integral, yet affordable part of their existing business solutions.”
He adds that the new CRM functionality is aimed at solving real business problems at an affordable price. And since it’s based on SAP NetWeaver technology, it will be both flexible and comprehensive.
That’s borne out by the catalogue of functions, which range from best practices for marketing, sales and service, with integrated analytics, to end-to-end opportunity management, telesales and service, returns management, and real-time reporting.
