Make UK CEO Stephen Phipson spoke at the Midland’s Aerospace Alliance Conference in Birmingham, forging closer links between our two member organisations.
Dr Andrew Mair, chief executive, Midlands Aerospace Alliance said: “We are pleased to announce this partnership as it brings with it access to Make UK’s traditional expertise relating to skills and people which will be of great benefit to our members.
“Most of our member companies work in aerospace but also across other sectors, so this partnership is a good fit given Make UK’s broader engineering coverage.
“Working together in this way will ensure that the Midlands Aerospace Alliance’s voice is heard at the highest level in Government when it comes to policy discussions about manufacturing.
“Collaborating with NDI will be a great opportunity for us as most of our companies work in civil aerospace and this new partnership will give us access to complementary defence industry supply chain expertise.”
Stephen Phipson, CEO of Make UK, the manufacturers’ organisation added: “We are delighted to welcome Midlands Aerospace Alliance as an affiliate member of Make UK and look forward to working ever more closely together in the coming months at this challenging time for our sector in the current political climate.”
