Companies large and small, from all sectors of the industry, were recognised across 12 categories. Delegates gathered not at a black-tie dinner but at home or in their factories to experience what has become - at least temporarily - the new way of doing things.
Key winners included Mansfield-based Swiftool Precision Engineering, which scooped the SME of the Year award, and Siemens Energy, winners of the Energy & Sustainability Award.
The industry's efforts during the Coronavirus pandemic were also recognised, with Photocentric, a Peterborough-based additive manufacturing specialist, winning the inaugural Manufacturing Matters award.
In the Apprentice categories, the region's rising stars were rewarded for their efforts. Entrants were divided into Business and Engineering categories, to reflect the broad skills needed to become an apprentice in the manufacturing sector.
Winners included Sven Goerlach of Wienerberger (Engineering Apprentice: Rising Star winner), Ella Legg of Leonardo (Business Apprentice: Final Year winner) and JLR's Millie Boulton (Apprentice Endeavour Award).

The next regional awards ceremony, celebrating the North East, Yorkshire and the Humber, takes place virtually on Tuesday 13 October.
