More environmental awards for InterfaceFLOR

2009 Best Factory Award winner InterfaceFLOR is celebrating a month during it has stacked up further accolades for its 'Mission Zero' pledge to eliminate any negative impact it has on the environment by 2020.

Last week, the designer and manufacture of carpet tiles was named Best Private Sector Organisation at the Environment Agency's inaugural Sustainable Pioneer Awards, impressing the judges by consistently achieving outstanding results on carbon emissions, energy use, waste and environmental impact and encouraging staff and customers to take similar steps. InterfaceFLOR was also the recipient of the Overall Environmental Management award, in the Green Business Awards 2010, achieved a Green Apple Award for Environmental Best Practice and was positioned within the first quintile in the 12th Annual ARENA Environmental Survey, widely recognised as the principal measure of environmental engagement in Northern Ireland. Earlier in the year, the company was named the National Example of Excellence by Business in the Community. CEO Lindsey Parnell said: "2010 has been a milestone year for InterfaceFLOR, and being recognised for our progress really is the icing on the cake."
