MPs have launched a dedicated parliamentary lobby group for manufacturers.
The Associate Parliamentary Group for Manufacturing (APMG) aims to raise awareness of challenges facing the sector.
The APMG will be chaired by MP, Chris White, Conservative MP for Warwick & Leamington.
Speaking at the APMH launch, White said: "All parties agree that if we are going to get our economy moving again, manufacturing, in all its forms, needs to be at the heart of our plans for growth."
White will be aided by Labour MP Barry Sheerman who will co chair the group.
The APMG is set to recruit members from outside of Westminster in the near future. Membership is open to manufacturing stakeholders.
White concluded: "I am very pleased to see this group up and running and believe that it will ensure a strong voice for the sector, bringing together parliamentarians, businesses, experts and trade bodies in a constructive way. I am confident that the group will make a positive contribution to the ongoing economic debate."
