NCR Corporation says it has signed with service management software developer Servigistics to improve customer service while also reducing its global service parts inventory.
Jack Rittenhouse, global supply chain director at NCR, says the company will use the Servigistics system to optimise inventory at its regional distribution centres, as well as its field stocking locations and field service technician truck stocks.
“With Servigistics, our goal is to improve our already-high service levels while reducing costs, eliminating inefficiencies and improving overall productivity,” he says.
Servigistics does seem to be gaining ground with its systems, which cover not only service parts management, but workforce management, pricing and knowledge management on a single data model. As more multi-nationals look to improve efficiency and customer service, expect to see more of this company.
