Diversified technology company 3M has introduced a new range of powered and supplied air respiratory protective systems which it says offer a comprehensive, modular approach to worker protection.
3M's Versaflo Respiratory Protective Systems are designed to protect workers in a wide range of industries, supplying clean, safe air to the workers' breathing zone and so allowing them to work comfortably for long periods.
Boasting streamlined, lightweight, stylish, intuitive design for optimum comfort and ease of use, 3M claims the new systems offer protection with the flexibility for changing environments, needs and comfort preferences.
The modular nature of the range, the company says, allows it to be quickly and easily adapted for changing work environments. For example, a lightweight hood can be switched to a robust headtop incorporating a helmet if the worker moves to a task requiring head protection. And if a hazard is introduced which cannot be filtered, a powered air system can even be changed over to a supplied air system by replacing the turbo unit with a regulator.
Caroline Smith of 3M's Occupational Health & Environmental Safety group commented: "3M respiratory protection products have always led the field in protection and performance and the new Versaflo Respiratory Protective Systems offer the same benefits alongside unrivalled comfort, styling and ease of use.
"The versatility of the range means many applications can be safely catered for, to meet legal requirements and user preferences and buyers can have confidence that they are purchasing high-quality products from a proven and trusted manufacturer."
