Nottingham-based synthetic nail and manicure products provider UBP Products is going for a fourth Shift ERP system from SoftBrands.
The firm expects its new system “to solve a number of supply chain issues” as it takes over from the current legacy accounting package, spreadsheets and office programs.
UBP says primary goals are to manage the contradiction of 12-week purchasing lead times on products from overseas, alongside delivery promises of just 48-hours. The system will also support business decision making and standardised reporting.
The selection follows Fourth Shift’s successful implementation at other Chemence-owned companies. The system will look after all major processes, including procurement planning, materials delivery, production and fulfilment.
Says Chemence IT manager Behzad Niasseri: “We have built up substantial experience of Fourth Shift – including the implementation process… By standardising our ERP assets to include the UBP Products site, we will be able to continue exploiting our investment in these valuable techniques.”
