Italian weighing systems developer OPEM says it has significantly accelerated design and production, while also improving quality by moving up from 2D to CoCreate’s OneSpace Modeling, the history-free 3D design software.
Based in Parma, the company, which serves the food and beverage industries, has been a long-time user of OneSpace Drafting, CoCreate’s 2D solution. But as the requirements of its design department evolved, it decided to move to 3D.
“We decided to continue our partnership with CoCreate and buy their software because of their innovation standards and easy integration with our ERP solution,” says Gianni Soncini, IT manager at OPEM.
“At that time, 2D CAD was becoming a little bit restrictive for our designers. Our move to CoCreate 3D has brought a significant improvement of the quality of our designs.”
The company adds that the new software is speeding up production, and that the choice of CoCreate guaranteed the company’s huge archive of designs, accumulated over decades.
