Open source ERP software provider Openbravo has released Openbravo ERP 2.50 Professional Subscription built on top of Ubuntu Server Edition.
Accroding ot John Pugh, ISV channel sales manager with Ubuntu commercial sponsor Canonical, users can now get a new integrated offering that includes full support across the entire application and technology stack.
Says Pugh: "The bottom line is that Openbravo and Canonical are taking our relationship to a new level with this offering. The engineering and support teams on both sides have collaborated deeply to bring this integrated solution to market."
Openbravo ERP is a web-based system that claims to streamline businesses' daily operations and optimise back-office processes.
With ERP 2.50 Professional Subscription, users now get a modular package, which, according to Openbravo, "simplifies customisation and the creation of third party add-ons".
Pugh explains that Openbravo ERP is now included in the Ubuntu partner repository, allowing Ubuntu users to add the software to their Ubuntu server.
He also says that the newly created Openbravo ERP Professional Subscription for Ubuntu provides expert support and business continuity for the entire open source software stack – which includes the ERP software, operating system, application server and database.
Says Openbravo COO Josep Mitjà: "Openbravo's ERP inclusion in the Ubuntu partner repository enables members of the open source ecosystem to install Openbravo ERP easily. And, on top of that, our new Professional Subscription product, which is based on Ubuntu and a PostgreSQL database, allows our partners to tailor premium, commercially-supported 100% open source solutions."
