Manufacturers running the former JD Edwards World ERP system can now get full integration with Demantra advanced forecasting management software, following completion of Oracle’s latest initiative.
For prospective users, there’s pre-built integration, and Oracle has also launched user productivity kits, with pre-built content that documents best practices – the stated objective being to help manufacturers achieve a faster ROI and more effective knowledge management.
The new capabilities relate to JD Edwards World A9.1, and you’re looking at an integrated and end-to-end product suite on an open, standards-based middleware and database architecture – lending credibility to Oracle’s claim of helping customers to simplify computing environments, lower cost and risk, and provide greater choice and flexibility.
Specifically though, Oracle says users of the pre-built integration wil be able, for example, to automate the extraction of sales and sales history data from JD Edwards World into Oracle’s Demantra, enabling production of better forecasts as well as plugging those back into ERP for improved operational planning.
