Oracle has announced general availability of the PeopleSoft Projects and Primavera P6 EPPM (enterprise project portfolio management) integration.
Said to increase productivity and improve operations for PeopleSoft ERP users, the combined suite is designed to help organisations with projects by enabling them to be delivered on-time and to-budget.
Paco Aubrejuan, Oracle's group vice president and general manager for PeopleSoft Enterprise, explains that, essentially, the financial management tools within PeopleSoft Projects can now be combined with the time-based planning tools within Primavera P6 EPPM.
By standardising business processes and best practices, he says the new integration provides customers with an enterprise-class solution that can handle resources and projects, regardless of size, location or complexity.
"Organisations need up-to-date, accurate and unified information across both project and financial management applications to help deliver projects on-time and on-budget," states Aubrejuan.
"By bringing together PeopleSoft Projects and Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management, we are able to provide customers with the infrastructure they need to achieve a single source of truth on the projects they are managing," he adds.
Together, he says, Primavera P6 EPPM and PeopleSoft Projects provide the end-to-end visibility organisations need to improve project planning, execution and control in order to achieve optimal project delivery.
