Packaging plants get targeted Wonderware production management
Integrated, real-time monitoring, control and performance measurement are among key features of Wonderware UK’s new application for packaging operations in the food and beverage and consumer goods industry.
“This new application has been developed to address today’s critical business objectives, such as maintaining stringent product quality, adhering to safety and regulatory requirements and enforcing waste management practices,” says a spokesperson for developer SolutionsPT.
The organisation says that users can expect to minimise materials and energy consumption, while gaining useful assistance in establishing best manufacturing practices. Key features include reports on yields, events, alarms and performance, all delivered through Wonderware’s web reporting and data visualisation component.
It also indicates that the system harnesses Invensys’ ArchestrA software architecture, enabling it to scale from a single line up to an enterprise-wide deployment.
