Palletforce, a member-owned palletised distribution network, has completed the rollout of a £1 million IT system to all its member businesses.
It has taken a year for the implementation project to be completed and the Alliance system – designed for Palletforce and owned by the organisation – was delivered on time and on budget.
Alliance offers full visibility of customers' freight from collection to delivery, including online POD information. It also provides members with invoicing functionality.
"The development and implementation of the Alliance system across our entire network has been a great success," said IT director Dean Hughes. The system is owned by Palletforce, so this will enable the organisation to modify and adapt it to suit evolving needs of members and customers, he added.
Michael Conroy, chief executive of Palletforce, said: "Alliance is a purpose-built system which has been designed to facilitate the future growth of our network while supporting members to continue providing efficient, quality service."
