New electronics components manufacturer Pearl Stream is reporting a successful go-live on QAD Enterprise Applications at its new plant in Strzelce Opolskie, Poland.
Pearl Stream's new factory manufactures more than 10,000 components per day, and plant manager Krzysztof Jarzyna says the firm went for QAD ERP to help it achieve "aggressive production targets".
He cites QAD software's scalability, rapid deployment capabilities and strong manufacturing focus as key to the selection.
"We had only four months to build a factory and start production. Selecting the right ERP provider was critical to minimizing our risk and maximizing our workflow, quickly," explains Jarzyna.
"QAD Enterprise Applications meets our expectations perfectly. It is a transparent and easy-to-use system. We are convinced it will contribute to the success and further development of our company," he adds.
In brief detail, Pearl Stream started by implementing QAD Enterprise Applications under a two-phased deployment.
Phase one included launching QAD modules to support the business and management processes, including purchasing, finance, inventory management and distribution.
The company completed phase two in mid-July, with the deployment of QAD Manufacturing, and Jarzyna says Pearl Stream is now well positioned to ramp up production and initiate its lean manufacturing objectives.
