In response to rapid growth across Europe, manufacturing planning and scheduling software specialist Preactor is locating its subsidiary Preactor Europe in Lyon, France.
Preactor president Mike Novels says: “The creation of Preactor Europe is central to our strategic expansion in Europe. Preactor Europe will have the role of improving our sales and of expanding the network of alliances in mainland Europe and the Middle East.”
He adds that France was chosen because it has the third largest installed base of Preactor APS software users after the UK and US and, as such, is the most important developing market in continental Europe.
Preactor, he says, achieved more than 20% growth in continental Europe last year, almost 25% of which was in France, where there are now 200 installed sites.
Thierry Faguet, formerly director of the planning and scheduling at Preactor partner SEGULA, is now operations manager for Preactor Europe. He will oversee growth through solution partners SEGULA and AXSOLU in France, and build on agreements with ISVs now ranging from IFS to QAD, DYNASYS and OSYS.
“The analysts have indicated that the [APS] market has matured well, which is important, and we expect that our customers will be even more numerous in the years to come,” says Novels.
