Preactor International believes 2010 will be a year of recovery and opportunity for the Iberian region, so is expanding in southern Europe and opening offices in Spain and Portugal.
Says marketing director Valerie Goulevitch: "Many countries across Europe have already begun to recover, albeit slowly, from the worst of the recession.
"We are seeing strong demand from manufacturers in these countries for planning and scheduling solutions that enable them to respond to client demands with decreased lead times while maximising resources and capacity."
She believes that, even though the current indicators of unemployment and GDP are anything but good in Spain, "it is inconceivable that Spain will not follow the rest of Europe into recovery".
And she adds: "The ability to increase production to meet growing customer demand, while maintaining complete accuracy over delivery dates, is beyond the capabilities of most older systems, especially for companies that still rely on Excel spreadsheets for their planning and scheduling."
