Premier Manufacturing Support improves services with web-based management

Premier Manufacturing Support Services says it has implemented Information Builders WebFocus performance management framework system so that its mobile workforce can share information and create reports on the fly.

Dan Bowling, director of IT at Premier, says the company, which serves the global automotive industry, wanted to upgrade its manual scorecard system with a web-based reporting application, designed to monitor progress among field personnel across 270 locations worldwide. “The [system] provides one-click access to operational data, enabling us to quickly generate reports and access the information we need to make better decisions,” he explains. “Being able to visualise information through dashboards and graphical reports gives us a deeper understanding of data.” Managers use the performance framework to generate custom reports, relay information to field operators, and provide performance summaries to customers, without having to re-enter data. “It was easy and seamless to transition our existing scorecarding system and data into WebFocus PMF,” says Bowling. “Now we can pull data directly from our financial and other systems, so our users can generate reports with customised parameters. “WebFocus gave us more power with enhanced usability so that users at all levels of our organisation gained immediate value with very little training.”
