An organisation for Midlands-based manufacturers has secured a trip for its members to visit Westminster to discuss how they're rebalancing the economy and how the government can further support industry.
Made in the Midlands (MIM) members are travelling to London on 3 February, 2015 for their annual visit sponsored this time by Lorely Burt, MP for Solihull.
Chief operating officer Charles Addison said: "The government is rediscovering how important manufacturing is and the public actually believe that we make things in this country and indeed this region. The fact is, we always did, but it was rarely celebrated. The Midlands is the epicentre of economic growth nationally and this trip will demonstrate that manufacturing is successful and sustainable and therefore deserves recognition and ongoing support."
Places are limited and tickets for the trip start at £190 including return travel and refreshments and are restricted to a maximum of two per company. For more details visit madeinthemidlands.com/events
