The investment was provided by UK-based bank Lloyds. R Tindall Fabricators has used the funding to acquire a 23,000 sq ft industrial unit – increasing its total workspace to 45,000 sq ft.

This has allowed it to store an additional £600,000 worth of stock.

Production Automation and Energy Efficiency Improvements

R Tindall Fabricators also used a £300,000 asset finance package to invest in three new, semi-automated machines to produce its fire sprinkler pipework.
The new machines removed the need got a night shift and halved the business’ energy usage, carbon emission and doubled output.

Plans for Growth in the European Fire Protection Market

The company is looking to increase its turnover by £13m over the next five years to grow further into the European fire protection market.
In addition, the company has doubled the size of its workforce over the last year to 82 employees.

Company Background and Industry Applications

R Tindall Fabricators was founded in 1969 and manufactures the pipework for fire sprinkler systems and install systems across a range of buildings, including warehouses.

Strategic Investment for Long-Term Safety Standards

Aaron Khan, strategic and operations director at R Tindall Fabricators, said: “Ensuring that buildings have the proper fire prevention systems in place is essential and we’ve recognised a need to support building owners so that they can make sure their properties are up to improved standards and are safe for people.

“We are now looking to take this further and supercharge our growth over the next few years. This latest investment into our Oldham headquarters is just the first step towards this, and I’m grateful for the support from Lloyds in helping us to pursue this.”

Bank Partnership to Enable Business Expansion

Garry Birchall, relationship director at Lloyds, said: “The progress R Tindall Fabricators has made over the past few years is remarkable. But rather than rest on their laurels, the business is as determined as ever to continue its growth journey.
“With this investment in its current operations in Oldham, it is giving itself a strong platform to go and pursue new opportunities both in the UK and abroad, and I look forward to continuing to support the business as it carries on with its incredible progress.”
