Manufacturers that import, export or outsource production overseas can improve security in their supply chains and anticipate disruptive border clearance issues using Infor’s automatic Restricted Party Screening.
It’s a real-time, web-based supply chain system that updates daily changes to government restricted party lists, notifies of supplier issues, provides an audit of shipment screening and enables batch screening of customer lists, employees, suppliers and vendors.
“Rapid growth in outsourced manufacturing has triggered a significant increase in cross-border trade,” says Greg Aimi, research director at analyst AMR. “With this new trading environment comes increased regulatory requirements, international financial implications and more complex global logistics. Technology is becoming an important enabler of accuracy, accountability, and efficiency in managing these more challenging business processes.”
Restricted Party Screening supports lists published by the US, Canada, UK, Japan and the UN. It’s available stand-alone or embedded in Infor Transportation Management.
Users of the software can demonstrate to governments that they maintain a secure supply chain and are eligible for programs such as C-TPAT (the joint US government-business initiative), that expedite border clearance.
