The much mooted recovery and a £125m government sweetner for SMEs will be under the spotlight at the Sussex Manufacturing Forum in Horsham on 10 December.
Manufacturers and engineers will gather to share problems and solutions across a broad range of industry issues.
Key topics include a raft of positive readings for UK manufacturing from the ONS, CBI and WM's Manufacturing Outlook report.
Sussex manufacturers will also debate the £125m fund promised by Vince Cable as part of the new British Business Bank.
The event, which will consist of a series of round tables involving business owners, financial directors and high level staff, aims to help those businesses with particular issues in such areas as funding and investment, research and development, the skills gap and exporting.
Chris Coopey, one of the founding members of the Sussex Manufacturing Forum and manufacturing partner at Carpenter Box chartered accountants and tax advisers, said:
"It's an ideal opportunity for regional manufacturers of all sizes and from all industry sectors to network, problem-solve and knowledge-share. Many firms have managed to retain their skill bases during the financial crisis and can now think about growth, innovation and new markets, both in the UK or abroad. The Forum aims to help members achieve their businesses aims by learning from the experience of others in the sector."
