British Grand Prix team Red Bull Racing, which from next year will be powering its cars on Ferrari engines, is to handle data exchange through Theorem Solutions’ CAD technology. The company says it will be using Theorem’s CADverter to translate engine data supplied by the Italian Scuderia in Pro/E into Unigraphics NX, Red Bull’s standard. Theorem general manager Keith Jeacock says: “Formula One is the ultimate test of right-first-time engineering. Fast and accurate translation of information between these two leading CAD systems will be essential if Red Bull Racing is to ensure the timely availability of engine design data in the format it requires.”
