The engineering group Renishaw has announced that in last three months it more than doubled revenue it earned from China compared to the same period last year.
To cope with the group's growing revenue, demand for production resource and more investment in its research and development programmes, cost and staff numbers had risen, too.
Additional, mainly engineering, staff had increased Renishaw's headcount at the end of September to 3,018, up 114 from the 2,904 at the start of the company's financial year in July.
In the three months since then, sales hit a record of £95.9m, more than one third better than the same period last year.
Earlier this month the group announced investment and expansion plans for its Miskin, South Wales site (pictured).
