Through its deployment, Russell Roof Tiles’ customers will have access to their orders and account information, including CAD drawings, remotely at the touch of a button, 24/7.
The deployment will also automate the majority of Russell’s long-range production planning to help manage lead times more effectively and facilitate more efficient, improved customer service.
In addition, the maintenance management capabilities within Infor CloudSuite Industrial will automate and streamline the purchasing of parts to boost efficiencies and reduce downtime on the shop floor.
Russell plans to go live in 2018 across three sites in Burton on Trent and Lochmaben.
Says Russell Roof Tiles Finance Director Araminta Chesters: “Technology is increasingly important in ensuring that our business continues to meet the needs of our market, and moving to Infor CloudSuite Industrial is a key part of our strategy to modernize and enhance our service.
“Adopting a cloud model reduces our technology footprint, and will make for a smoother transition when our US operations migrate to the same platform in H2 2018, while our customer self-service portal will ensure customers are only a click away from the information they need on any given project.”
Adds Phil Lewis, VP for Global Solution Consulting at Infor: “The building sector has had a turbulent decade which for the most part, has seen a return to growth over the last few years.
“Technology has become a key means of getting closer to customers and delivering to their demands, and through its deployment of Infor CloudSuite Industrial, Russell Roof Tiles is able to improve customer service.”
