Total user numbers for Sage ERP X3 v6 have risen to 2,000 since the system's launch in January 2010 – with 17 new and 22 inherited customer sites all now on board.
And the figures from around the word are even more impressive – with some 300 new Sage ERP X3 sites in the last 12 months taking the total number of Sage customers globally to more than 3,000.
Sage partners Acuity, Datel, DMC Ensphere, Inixion, Mysoft and Pinnacle Computer Solutions all talk of considerable ongoing demand for the new ERP system.
"The phenomenal success and sheer volume of interest we have received from partners and prospects in the past 12 months has exceeded our own expectations," comments Greg Ford, managing director for Sage's mid market division.
"As many of our UK customers increasingly expand their international footprint, Sage and our dedicated business partners have the understanding and expertise to help them avoid making costly, cumbersome and complex investments," he adds.
Certainly, Sage ERP X3's expanded partnership with global systems integrator Logica, will support multi-country ERP projects. And, with Sage having working relationships with Microsoft, Oracle and Netvibes, the firm should be in a good position to develop and deliver global ERP solutions.
Functionally it's there: Sage ERP X3 is multi-legislative, multilingual and multi-currency (hence, we're told 'X3'); it also integrates analysis and reporting, financial accounting, management control and operational management, all the way from production to purchasing, sales and inventory.
And, given Sage ERP X3's entry into the 2010 'magic quadrant' for ERP for product-centric midmarket companies, by analyst Gartner, the momentum is likely to grow internationally.
As Christophe Letellier, Sage ERP X3 worldwide general manager, puts it: "The usability, agility and tailored provision for mid-market companies that Sage ERP X3 delivers, allows companies to get a complete view of a company's operations and total financial control throughout the entire organisation."
And he adds: "As more companies increase international operations, global sales and supplier activity, they require a flexible ERP solution, with room for the solution to be tailored to fit many business requirements, be it deployable either on premise or on the web."
