The SAP UK & Ireland User Group is working with SUGEN (SAP User Group Executive Network) to help shape the software giant's future product roadmaps.
George Mansfield, the user group's director for special interest groups, says that the new joint initiative is aimed at making it easier for customers to get involved and to influence SAP at a much earlier stage.
"Greater input into, and visibility of product roadmaps has been a long-standing wish for many of our members," explains Mansfield.
"This is a great milestone in SUGEN and the user group's relationship with SAP, and clearly shows the renewed focus that the company has in listening to its customers," he adds.
Mansfield says that since the beginning of this year, the group has had several meetings with SUGEN and SAP, looking at SAP modules, including HR, supply chain management, finance and manufacturing.
"We will aim to highlight our members' needs while also gaining insights into the future, which will enable users to plan more effectively," comments Mansfield.
"It is very much a two-way relationship, as SAP wants to get closer to its users, while we want to get closer to SAP to ensure that we are able to influence their future product roadmap," he adds.
