The programme is set to launch in the summer term of 2025 and will last nine weeks, focusing on critical STEM skills and real-life problem-solving scenarios.
STEM Skills Development in Local Schools
Twelve local primary schools will participate in the initiative, which aims to develop essential STEM skills in an engaging and hands-on way. The programme will cover topics within the National Curriculum, focusing on areas such as energy transition, technology landscape, and other subjects like Robotics and Machine Control, Sustainable Energy, and eMobility.
Interactive Workshops and Challenges
The interactive workshops will also include Challenge Days that will encourage teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving solutions for real-life scenarios. These sessions will be supported by employees at Schneider Electric as part of its volunteering initiative, contributing their expertise and knowledge to help inspire the students.
LMS for Continuous Learning and Finals Day Event
Teachers and pupils will have access to a Learning Management System (LMS) to provide resources and continuous learning opportunities. The Schneider Electric and Tottenham Hotspur Foundation partnership will culminate in a ‘Finals Day’ event, where students will apply the techniques learned at F1 DRIVE London, the world’s first in-stadium electric karting facility located under Tottenham Hotspur Stadium’s South Stand.
Schneider Electric's Commitment to Energy Transition
“We need to inspire talent from an early age if we are truly going to harness the potential of the energy transition,” said Kelly Becker, president of Schneider Electric UK and Ireland, Belgium, and Netherlands. “Our work with Tottenham Hotspur highlights the huge opportunities these skills have in creating positive and impactful environmental change. We are excited to expand our partnership to educate and empower the local community on this,” she added.
Empowering the Next Generation
"We’re really excited to launch this programme in collaboration with Schneider Electric," said Andrew Wands, education manager at the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation. "Our goal is to create a stimulating environment in which students can explore STEM subjects in hands-on and engaging ways, as part of our wider work helping young people prepare for their futures.”
