The Automated Material Handling Systems Association (AMHSA) is staging a seminar to help explain the intricacies of automation in the materials handling environment.
Taking place in Loughborough on 3 November, the event will feature three presentations, kicking off with Adam Fox, project manager for returnable handling solutions specialist George Utz. Fox will discuss new technologies for totes, pallets and containers, and will explain the benefits of bespoke solutions.
Next up, Andy Robinson, managing director of Autotech Controls, will highlight the benefits and pitfalls of modern control systems for automated handling equipment in a seminar entitled 'New technology – a necessary evil?'
Finally, Nick Hunt of Motivair Compressors will discuss how compressed air – a vital component in many automated handling systems – can be designed, installed and managed more effectively, often resulting in energy savings of thousands of pounds a year.
Places for the half-day event cost £55 plus VAT: to book, email AMSHA secretary Graham Watts at secretary@amhsa.co.uk.
