SevenMountains Software, which develops systems for managing and delivering software applications and data content on the web, has entered an OEM agreement with SafeStone Technologies, which majors in security systems management. Under the agreement, SafeStone will rebrand SevenMountain’s 7M Aspire 2.0 and offer the technology as part of its AxcessIT suite. SafeStone’s AxcessIT provides policy-driven, profile-based user administration to cut security exposure and reduce IT costs. SafeStone now intends to provide corporations with access to data intensive, personalised applications via the Internet, regardless of platform, operating system, location and functionality. According to John Todd, SafeStone’s CEO: “SafeStone Technologies was looking to complete its product portfolio. We provided the authentication procedure with AxcessIT and we wanted to be able to offer a solution that would enable users to access corporate applications through a portal in a secure environment. “This partnership seemed to be a natural progression from our initial offering and addressed the dilemma of whether to build something ourselves or to buy a proven solution. 7M Aspire 2.0 will be sold as a separate module to AccessIT but we do intend to integrate the two solutions into a single product offering.”
