Siemens make strategic appointment to UK aerospace division

Siemens have appointed Steve Jones to the role of head of UK aerospace, in a move to strengthen its offering to the market. He has spent 12 years at Siemens, previously holding the role of key account manager for UK aerospace, and has over 25 years’ experience in the wider engineering industry.

Assisted by three executives, Jones will be tasked with furthering the implementation of Siemens’ strategy for the UK aerospace sector, working with existing customers on the specification of Siemens’ industrial technology solutions, as well as building new relationships.

Jones, who said he is “delighted” to have been given the role, will additionally represent Siemens on wider aerospace forums, such as the Aerospace Growth Partnership, of which he is already a member.

“Siemens has a long standing presence within this important sector,” continued Jones, “and this will continue as we seek to enhance our technology and service offering so our aerospace clients continually benefit from optimised manufacturing performance and increased productivity.”
