With analyst Gartner billing simulation as one of the top ten technologies for manufacturing business next year, Lanner is suggesting its modelling software falls into the category.
Gartner talks of 'operational analytics' for making robust business predictions and enabling better decision making.
"This recognition is testament to the fact that businesses continue to recognise the benefits and savings that simulation, modelling and process optimisation can bring," comments Lanner CEO David Jones.
"They understand that to stay ahead in business, analysis and simulation are crucial. The reduction in risk that simulation enables, and the ability to conduct leaner, more efficient operations, continues to open up opportunities," he adds.
His observations come just weeks ahead of a new release of Lanner Group's flagship simulation-modeling software, Witness Power with Ease 3.0.
Jones suggests that the new software contains advances in virtual representation, combined with a range of new features that improve its breadth and depth. He cites, for example, faster, smoother virtual reality with added animation, including walking animation on path and part operations.
