For small to medium sized firms (SMEs) that have been holding back from e-business and collaborative commerce initiatives, either due to cost or other constraints, Formfill’s new, RosettaNet-compliant, XML-based data management software is an affordable solution.
RosettaFlow Foundation is a new suite of software designed to allow SMEs to easily, quickly and cheaply trade using RosettaNet standards.
RosettaNet is a major consortium of manufacturing technology companies who have developed e-business and XML standards to enable them to reduce their communication costs significantly.
The new software includes a communications module and RosettaNet’s PIPs (partner interface processes) software, purchase order creation, invoice creation and advanced shipment notices.
Although RosettaNet take-up to date has been limited due to the expense and complexity of implementing the full spectrum of PIPs, the new software will allow SMEs to overcome these problems.
RosettaNet currently has more than 400 large, multi-national user companies in the electronics, IT and semiconductor industries, using its standards including Compaq, Dell, Phillips, Sony, Nokia, Ericsson and Cisco.
