Alarms and communication systems manufacturer Static Systems Group has chosen IFS Applications ERP software, IFS Applications to grow and streamline its business operations.
Paul Garbett, finance director at SSG, says that IFS will replace a legacy ERP system that no longer meets SSG's needs for data visibility, collaboration, efficiency and business agility.
The new system will encompass both engineering and operational aspects of the business, and include IFS's project, finance, manufacturing, maintenance, inventory and purchasing modules.
Garbett expects the new ERP software to IFS initially to enhance the accessibility and accuracy of customer and project data. This, he says, will help improve operational efficiency and customer service.
He cites giving SSG field engineers, working at clients' sites, access to information on demand, which hasn't been possible with the existing ERP system, as just one of the new functions that will improve collaboration on projects.
"We selected IFS Applications, because it offers a fully integrated, project-based ERP solution with the depth of functionality to support our challenging operational requirements," states Garbett.
"The IFS solution will enable the business to leverage efficiencies and optimise client service levels," he adds.
