Sticky contract for Dentressangle
Logistics group Norbert Dentressangle has secured a new contract with Stokvis Tapes for the distribution of Stokvis adhesive products. Owned by ITW and part of The Performance Polymers Group, Stokvis is the world's largest independent adhesive tape and foam specialist with the output from its 30-plus production facilities around the world being used for applications in industries including, medical, aerospace, automotive, construction, paper and graphic.
Previously, the company's orders were despatched to customers individually using a parcel carrier, but in line with business growth, Stokvis has appointed Norbert Dentressangle to provide more accurate and cost-effective deliveries via its national shared-user pallet network.
The transport specialist collects orders from the UK manufacturing depot in Tring, Hertfordshire, where orders are consolidated onto pallets for next day delivery to key customers all across the UK.
"Our former method of despatching products was no longer suitable for our expanding business model and we required a more cost-effective solution to meet our changing needs," commented Sally Farmer, Manager at Stokvis Tapes.
