The investment means additional financial support for upgrades to legacy production machinery, as well as improvements to on-site staff welfare facilities. It is also investing in training programmes, with particular focus on health & safety.
Supreme concrete said: “The investment at our Sittingbourne facility – which includes a new toilet block and refurbished mess-rooms - is intended to boost welfare infrastructure for staff. One of the key objectives for the works has been to radically improve on-site welfare facilities for female production and engineering staff.”
Richard Davey, commercial operations manager, said: “There has never been a more positive and exciting time to be a part of Supreme Concrete. Companies like ours can only grow and succeed in our competitive market if we really invest in our people: it is our team that makes our business.
“This investment gives us a much-needed boost right across the site – it makes us more efficient; and allows us to demonstrate an even greater commitment to developing the skills within our team. In short, it gives us a really good foundation to build on for the future.”
