Swedish prototyping and engineering firm Digital Mechanics says it has added a fourth Stratasys FDM 400mc system to its direct digital manufacturing and rapid prototyping machines to keep pace with growth.
By using FDM (fused deposition modelling) technology, Digital Mechanics says it has been able to decrease the turnaround times, from design and development to delivery of parts, to customers particularly in the in the automotive industry in Europe and the US.
Digital Mechanics managing director Fredrik Finnberg says that the enhanced accuracy, repeatability, material properties and speed of the FDM 400mc all contribute to the firm’s success.
“The new Stratasys machine is a much needed addition to our business,” he says. “Its speed and accuracy allow us to manufacture and deliver quality prototype parts to our clients and its flexibility means it can grow with us as a company. We can add new materials and capabilities to the system as client demand dictates the need for them.”
