Syspro, author of Impact Encore ERP implemented in the UK by McGuffie Brunton and Information Engineering (joint Syspro UK holding company owners), is changing the name of its ERP suite also to Syspro, coincident with launching its latest version. The news came at its global resellers conference in Italy this week.
In recent years Syspro’s ERP has been roundly extended to include CRM (customer relationship management), APS (advanced planning and scheduling), HR (human resources), WMS (warehouse management) and serious e-commerce at the SME manufacturing level – some of it home grown, some by acquisition.
Much of this has been achieved by McGuffie and by Information Engineering. All that is now moving into the Syspro v6.0 release, and being represented around the world.
There are now more than 600 installations of Impact in the UK alone, and nearly 6,000 world-wide. Seems the feeling is that one name world wide, coupled with bigger representation and consulting in each country will put the overall company and its extended ERP offerings higher up the pecking order, where it should be.
