K3 McGuffie Brunton, the now merged UK Syspro ERP empire, has announced a major upgrade to its Lot Traceability, enabling users to obtain comprehensive track and trace.
Its latest enhancements allow manufacturers to trace parts and lots, essential for industries such as food, healthcare and pharmaceutical.
In addition to enabling users to maintain assurance certification and tracking of expiration dates, the software allows one-to-one tracking between component serials/lots and parent item serials/lots.
Manufacturers can thus track component serial numbers used in the production of a particular parent serial number, as well as component lot numbers used in the production of a particular parent lot. And the new module also maintains a history of traceable items and keeps detailed notes on inspections.
Says Jeremy Hart, technical director of K3 McGuffie Brunton: “The ability to trace lots and components is becoming increasingly vital to industries that must comply with safety regulations. Syspro assists businesses by providing them with greater visibility and control over quality and tracking in industries such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals and food where quality and conformance to directives and regulations are particularly crucial.”
