Triple Eight set fair for British Touring Car Championships
Triple Eight Race Engineering – famous for winning the drivers’, teams and manufacturers’ awards in the British Touring Car Championships four years in a row – says it’s doing well again this year in its race-modified Vauxhall Astra Coupe thanks in part to Autodesk manufacturing design software.
As part of its Autodesk sponsorship, Triple Eight, which is now one of the most successful engineering companies in the UK motorsport industry, has extended its use of the software to 10 licenses of Inventor Professional and one of AutoCAD Electrical on top of its existing Inventor base.
It is also planning to implement Autodesk’s incremental data management system Autodesk Productstream, and take part in a complete design review process to assess activities, looking at better re-use of data throughout the whole operation by automating design data management processes and flows.
The goal: ‘doing the triple’ again.
