The third
Big Bang: UK Young Scientists and Engineers Fair has been organised by independent, non-profit organisation, EngineeringUK and aims to promote the importance of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to UK students.
Taking place from 10 to 12 March, headline shows will include Sky 1's
Brainiac Live!, BBC's
Bang Goes the Theory and The Lloyd's Register Educational Trust's
Alphabeat show. The fair will also feature BBC's
Wallace & Gromit's 'World of Invention' roadshow.
The organisers are actively encouraging schools to get involved with the free event and also looking for volunteers to help. To register as a volunteer,

As part of the event, EngineeringUK is hosting a sponsor dinner on Thursday 10 March. This affords sponsors the opportunity to network with fair partners, celebrity judges, media, political influencers and business and industry leaders. As a sponsor, there will also be a chance to explore the fair's interactive showfloor before the general public at a 'Sneak Peek' event preceding the dinner. More information is available by emailing EngineeringUK's director, Business and Industry,
John Halton.
