UK factories need advanced manufacturing systems

Critical Manufacturing's software, dubbed cmNavigo, is a MES (manufacturing execution system), designed to monitor and optimise production lines at advanced manufacturing facilities. The partnership aims to increase awareness of cmNavigo in the UK, through a UK company with local market focus, according to Brian Luff, chairman at Critical Software Technologies. "The high-tech manufacturing industry is evolving at such a rapid pace, but many plants are still relying on reactive, rather than proactive, solutions when monitoring critical production processes – which can be damaging to their business," states Luff. "Many are also using legacy computer systems and inefficient processes that don't meet the requirements of the global manufacturing market," he continues. "By working with the experienced team at Critical Manufacturing, we aim to both widen our market opportunities and show those working in manufacturing how cmNavigo can benefit their business."
