The UK forklift factory that makes Hyster and Yale trucks has won the Northern Ireland Quality Award.
Alan Little, plant manager at the Nacco Materials Handling factory in Craigavon, accepted the award on behalf of the company and employees at a ceremony recently in Belfast City Hall.
Accepting the award, Little said: "This is a fantastic achievement – everyone at Nacco Materials Handling Group is proud of the quality of the equipment we manufacture. We are therefore delighted to see the hard work and contribution made by everyone in our organisation officially recognised through this award."
Established in 1994, the Northern Ireland Quality Awards are based on the international European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) excellence model, which offers a robust method to assess organisational performance. As part of the judging process, the Craigavon plant (pictured) was compared against other leading world-class manufacturers and was assessed in areas including leadership, strategy, processes, products and services.
