Manufacturers local to the University of Hertfordshire are being offered education in the benefits of MRP/ERP systems on the 123mrp.NET system from Rent IT Systems, following a partnership deal.
Working with UH’s knowledge transfer partnership programmes, a series of production management workshops has been scheduled to allow companies to explore business benefits, while also avoiding what the university describes as cost traps.
“We believe [123mrp.NET] can harness business improvements by controlling the flow of information,” explains Keith Bevis, business manager for UH’s School of Aerospace, Automotive and Design Engineering. “We can see the opportunities for using this tool as we support local companies in our Knowledge Transfer Programmes.”
123mrp.NET covering everything from initial estimates and quotes to sales and purchasing, stock, shop floor control, capacity planning, despatch, invoicing with accounts integration and interfacing options.
The workshops are being held at the Hatfield campus and run for half a day. UH has already implemented several educational licenses of 123mrp.NET. Companies wanting to take advantage can book online at http://www.rent-it-systems.com/events.cfm.
