Infor's workforce management system, WFM Workbrain version 5.1, is now on general availability.
Owen Brangwyn, Infor's workforce management software product manager, says that more than one million lines of code have been updated to maximise efficiency, increase scalability and cut total cost of ownership.
All that, he explains, stems from working with an advisory board of key customers to get this system right.
He cites computational efficiency as having been "significantly improved, resulting from a massive code optimisation effort, aimed at reducing overall hardware requirements and associated costs".
He also alludes to a range of technical improvements having been introduced to prepare for significant functionality enhancements in subsequent releases.
"Customers have every reason to be excited about this release and the product roadmap we're executing against, going into 2011 and beyond. We have provided a current and stable technical platform for an unprecedented evolution of the product in future releases," states Brangwyn.
