Vorsprung Business Systems (VBS), the independent software vendor and reseller of Navision ERP systems in the UK, is targeting SMEs (small to medium enterprises) in the process manufacturing sector with its new combined ERP (enterprise resource planning) offering.
The powerful suite, driven by IBM’s eServer hardware, includes two offerings: the manufacturing software element, Process800 coupled with ‘Information System for Executives’, an associated group of software packages that together deal with everything from financials and human resources (HR), to e-commerce, supply chain and sales force automation elements.
The main workhorse of the solution though is Process800, based on ERP vendor Navision’s Client/Server Integrated Development Environment (developed by VerticalSoft) which includes formula/recipe BOM, planning and scheduling, production control, inventory management, quality control, document management, activity based costing, analytics and warehouse management.
And ‘Information System for Executives’ gives you everything else you need to close the loop with your factory/production function: financials, HR, CRM (customer relationship management), supply chain management and e-commerce (including business alerts, consolidations, budgeting and analytics).
