Visioneering recognised for role in world record breaking JCB Dieselmax

Another UK engineering company – Coventry-based Visioneering – has been recognised for its contribution to the double world-beating performance of the JCB Dieselmax, which last week achieved 350mph (563kph).

Visioneering, which provides consulting, technology and project management for the automotive, aerospace and manufacturing industries, handled chassis development, custom-built components of the car and engineering packaging. The project has involved the development of a purpose-designed streamliner car to prove the strength, performance and versatility of the JCB444 diesel engine. Visioneering director of special projects John Piper, has considerable experience of F1 and Le Mans race car engineering, was project chief designer for the JCB Dieselmax programme.
