European food manufacturer Wander says it is expecting greatly improved production planning and scheduling efficiencies when it goes live with an APS system from Preactor.
The advanced planning and scheduling system project is being undertaken by German supply chain software specialist Advenco Consulting, Preactor's software reseller in the region, and is due to go live in June 2012.
Wander AG manufactures brands including Ovaltine, Caotina and Jemalt, and is a subsidiary of Associated British Foods, one of the largest international food companies in Europe.
Preactor is already in use elsewhere in the ABF group and, with Preactor used in nearly 200 food and beverage companies, 127 in Europe alone, Preactor APS was not a difficult choice, according to the company.
"Wander AG is a perfect example of a company that needs not just an industry leading solution, but also an implementation with a real depth of industry experience in order to maximise the benefits the solution can deliver," comments Valerie Goulevitch, head of global marketing and communication for Preactor International.
"As a QAD ERP user, the company also needs a solution and partner that provides a seamless integration between production planning and its wider ERP and SCM systems," she adds.
"For a company that places such high value on quality and consistency, it is essential that any implementation not only delivers the expected benefits but also does so in a way that does not interrupt the ongoing operations of the business," states Michael Fatum general manager of Advenco.
