The growth comes as the manufacturer, which produces all containers using British-sourced materials at its Oak Park site, continues to win new contracts from new territories and receive reissued tenders from existing customers in Kuwait and Malaysia.
September alone saw Egbert Taylor complete an order for 7,000 Taylor Continental 1,100L containers from customers in Kuwait, which have committed to a further 10,000 units in 2020, and an order for 2,200 containers from a customer in Malaysia, which made the decision to change to Taylor Bins seven years ago.
Matthew Young, Export Manager at Egbert Taylor, comments: “This is a significant moment for the business. Not just because of the fact that we’ve had our best ever year for export, but because we’re securing repeat business from international customers who have used our containers for seven years and are coming back to us on the basis that the quality of our products is second to none.”
SWM Environment Sdn Bhd (SWM), an integrated waste management and public cleansing service provider in southern Malaysia, is one of the international firms to buy Taylor bins for their quality.
On choosing Egbert Taylor, SWM’s CEO and Vice Chairman of International Solid Waste Management Association, Mr D L Ho, adds: “The effective containerisation of waste in hot, humid climates is incredibly important and the risks associated with procuring substandard bins is too great for us. We had the problem of hot ashes and the issue of burning waste beside bins, which has been eliminated by the quality of Taylor Bins. In Egbert Taylor we have created a reliable partnership and through the Taylor brand we have found a product that can withstand even the harshest of conditions.”
Other significant international wins for Egbert Taylor this year include orders from Peru, Sri Lanka and India.
