West Yorkshire modular and portable buildings manufacturer Thurston Group has set its sights on overseas markets and plans to increases production and international expansion with funding from Barclays.
Thurston Group, based at Quarry Hill Estate, Horbury, Wakefield, was established in 1970 and offers services including consultancy, design and manufacture through to gaining planning permission and ensuring building regulation approval.
Thurston Group managing director Jonathan Petch said: "Thurston's is bucking the trend and already growing organically in the UK. The new funding from Barclays will enable us to expand overseas – fulfilling our growth strategy and providing us with more flexibility going forward. It's great working with a team that understand our business and can provide a holistic solution for both UK and overseas business."
Thurston Group employs 230 staff across Yorkshire and turnover this year is expected to be £30 million.
